We could use prayers dust if you don't mind. His name is Isaac, he's 16-months old and he has to have the test because his soft spot didn't fuse together right (loose interpretation), and there's a chance he could have to have surgery, we just don't know yet. I'm a mess over it, but we'll get through. They have to sedate him for the test also.

Thanks all,
Steph

I just said a prayer for Isaac. Keep us updated!

Lots of prayers and pixie dust coming your way! I can imagine you are quite worried, but it will be over quickly and he will be back in Mommy's arms safe and sound. Let us know how the little man does after it is all over.

Thoughts and prayers being sent Isaac's way! Thoughts and prayers also being sent mommy's way!! Take care ~ and be sure to let us know how it goes.

Just said a prayer for all of you. Good luck and hang in there.

Steph,
Been there done that. My dd has had 10 CT's ( at least I think it's 10). She's 9 years old. Most of her ct's were done before she turned 5. We never sedated her for any of the ct's. Some kids go through the ct without any problems. Some, like my dd are scared. If they decide to try the ct without sedating him here's what we did. The tech should let you stay with Isaac during the test. Bring a favorite toy or book to try and keep his attention focused on you while they are taking the pictures. Ask the tech to turn music on while the scan is being done. You're a mom, you can do this, moms are tough. Good luck.

Prayers and pixie dust for your darling child. You will be in my thoughts! Best wishes...

Thanks all, I will let you know how things go. Hopefully he's fine and he won't have to have surgery, but I don't want to think about it until I have to.

Steph

Good wishes, Steph, are with Isaac (great name!!). He will be in my prayers. Please let us know how he does, I am sure things will go fine.

Prayers for your DS and your family. It's so hard as a parent to see a child go through anything like that. :hug:s to you and good luck!

His CT was this morning. He did very well with the sedation, the nurse said it can take awhile for them to go to sleep sometimes because they try to fight it, but he was out within 10 minutes or so of receiving the medicine. The test itself only took about 5 minutes, and then we had to wake him up, and they made sure he was awake fully and drank something like Pedialyte, which he did with no problem. He's been sleepy on and off today, but done very well, a little fully but not bad. It was hard to watch, just because he's so little, and it scared me, but we all made it ok.

We should get the results on Monday. Thanks again for all the prayers and thoughts, it helped us get through. I'll post again when we get the results.

Steph

Prayers and good thoughts for little Isaac. I do hope he does well.

Glad to hear the test went well. Waiting to hear how the results come out!
