Dryer sheets as insect repellant????

I believe I read it here (where else would I have learnt something)

...Can someone tell me what dryer sheets they put in their back pocket to repel bugs?!

My DS-15 just left for Scout Camp this morning. On his paperwork it said to bring, among other things, bug spray or dryer sheets! I said..WHAT? Then he told me about it.
Great idea!

The dryer sheets help more with the nats ... Not so much with any other bugs in my opinion, but if you go somewhere with a lot of nats then they might be a good idea
