Dry Skin..ugghhh!!

My hands are really really dry! Ughh, it's nasty. I just put on this really nice hand lotion too! That lotion makes dry skin go away immediately for me, except this time. Grrr. I hate winter so much sometimes!!

Anyone else have any complaints about winter and it's negative effects on your body?

My whole body is dry despite the lotion I just put on too.
I hate winter. I prefer summer when my skin doesn't get dried out and my hair doesn't get staticky and gross and I'm not shaking uncontrollably from the frigid temperatures.

Yeah my hands get sort of dry during the winter.
And my skin will crack and leave sores on my knuckles.
And my lips get dry.

Ugh, been there. Every year from Thanksgiving to Easter my hands feel like Brillo pads, and there's really nothing that can be done about it. Putting on shea butter does help a lot, but it's always so hard to find and/or flipping expensive. My mom and I got lucky last year when we were at a flea market near my orchestra rehearsal and found a woman who imported real shea nuts (if that's what they're called) from Africa, and she was sitting at her stall scraping off chunks and putting them in little plastic cups like the ones you put relish in.

The price was amazing compared to regular stores, and besides that we new that there was no alcohol or chemicals or perfume in it, which generally defeat the purpose of using products with shea in them. I loved the stuff, but unfortunately, Mom didn't go back to get any more because she didn't like that it turned light skin a sickly yellowish color. Personally, I couldn't care less if a salve made my hands turn purple, green, or flaming red as long as it healed them as well as that shea did.

My skin gets very dry and itchy this time of the year. I can't resist scratching, so I have scratchmarks ALL over myself. It's bad, I'm afraid that I'll get scars.
But I got this Pure Divine body wash in my stocking and it's already made me feel so much better. I'm hardly scratching at all now. I definitely reccomend that... and it smells good too =)

I hate dry hands. I use Gold Bond Ultimate softening lotion.

I always put on lotion after I take a bath.

Yay! I asked just now and my mom told me she had a little bit of the shea left over in the back of a basket, and now I can finally bend my fingers without wincing~

Yeah winter skin can suck...so I use tons of mosiurizers.
But I have this killer cold so my nose is all red and sore...and putting any lotion on it makes it BURN.

I don't get dry skin at all. I'm very lucky with that stuff.

Instead, my asthma bothers me and I always have a head cold.

I'm very lucky, my skin is always really soft. My mom gets dry winter hands though, and every night she PILES on the moisterizer.

My hands are always dry, I wash my hands alot and for like 15 minutes (I have OCD, if I don't wash my hands that long then they aren't clean, I also count to a certain number 20 times), but sometimes my hands get so dry that the skin like, cracks and then my hand bleeds...and my hands always get very dry in winter.

My hands were very dry a week ago, but I was messing with this thing of hand lotion and alot come out of the container, so I used it and I was like, wow, it works. I'll edit this and post the name of it later.

I use lotion for Bath & Body Works. It's a 24/7 Moisturizing lotion. It's works amazingly, except now. But if this stuff doesn't work, I'll have to look into all the other lotions everyone else uses.
