Dropping people from reservation at check-in for CRT (dining plan)

Dining plan question...

I have a reservation for 5 people for CRT that is guaranteed with my dining plan credits (not prepaid). My DH and DS may end up going to HS that day for Star Wars stuff. If I show up at the podium with just 3, will that be ok?

I know it's fine at other restaurants, but I didn't know about CRT because of the pre-pay issue. I don't want a nasty surprise on my credit card!

CRT has a 48 hour cancellation policy I believe, so you'd be charged the cost.

I know that their cancellation period is 48hrs compared to most at 24 hrs, and the amount is prepaid in full, but I thought you could still show up with fewer people and they wouldn't charge at all as long as part of tyour party is there?

That works for no show fees, but Prepaid ADRs and events aren't the same if I recall correctly.

We showed up with 3 to a reservation of 5 for the prepaid dessert party and were still charged (as we expected). The prepaid stuff have different rules, hence the cancellation policy difference.

It's pseudo-prepaid with a dining credit. You definitely still have to give your credit card as a guarantee and I think instead of a $10 per person cancellation fee, you're hit with the full meal price. I just didn't realize they still charged you for a partial party.

CRT is always "prepaid" because when you have booked saying you will have the dining plan, you have said that you will be paying for this many persons with dining credits upon arrival. That is why they waive the cash prepayment. I don't know if they will charge you for dropping people at the podium or not. Have heard various things about prepaid venues.
