Dropping by MiraCosta Hotel... any hints on what to see?

As we are staying off-site, we will be dropping by MiraCosta Hotel on one of the days together with TDL Hotel.
Any hints on what are the things to look for/worth seeing at MiraCosta ?
Any hidden items that non-staying visitor is able to see ?

Definitely the ship in the lobby. One of the best centerpieces in any hotel lobby I have ever seen.

On the lobby floor, if you head towards the package shipping counter and keep going, there is a great view of the inside of the park. You are pretty much situated on top of the "tunnel" you go through to get into the park. One morning we watched the rehearsals for the PoTC water show before it started.

Thanks for the hint on viewing the park.
We will be taking the hotel bus to DS so will be there around opening time ( or later if we sleep in a bit) so will miss that rehearsal.
