Dropping a guest from a reservation

I will be calling member services on Monday. But I was hoping someone could answer a question. Can I take someone off a reservation without having to cancel the reservation and rebook?

Yes. You can also send a message through the Contact us form on the website. And you should be able to do it yourself with the new modify reservation feature

Here is where my question gets complicated. It is my husband I want to drop. He will not be spending every night with me as he will be at a trade show. He will drive up and join me for 1/2 a day here and there. So I want to keep his fastpasses. If I drop him less than the 30 days he would be able to make his reservations with his AP without a hotel reservations. Will he lose the ones make under a reservation?
I am considering this because I may get the dining plan and only want to pay for one of us to do it if he will only be with my on and off.

The FPs are linked to his tickets and not his resort reservation. If you drop him from the reservations, the FPs should remain.

honestly, it's probably easiest to call and let member services deal with this. esp if you go with dinning plan.

We were just at Disney 2 weeks ago. Before leaving I called MS to drop my son from the reservation and a friend in his place. On our arrival day we went to Guest Services to switch his unused park ticket to our friend and they also transferred all the FPs as well.
