Hi there. We are driving down in November. We were orginally going to go straight through since we had 3 drivers. Well one of our drivers is in a cast, and either way doesn't want to go straight through. We are going down 95 from Jersey, so where is it approximately 6 hours north of WDW. That is where we would like to stop.

Thanks all :)

Richmond Hill, SC. Just south of Savannah. I recommend the Hampton Inn there, clean and comfortable.

BTW--we've made that drive three times since July, and find it much, much, much easier to drive straight through. With two drivers that's a no brainer to do.

We found leaving NJ at 4:00am on a Saturday is great, no traffic the whole way.

We're about 5 hrs. north of WDW and there are lots of nice new hotels right off of 95.

Ducklite,

I am also from Central NJ, Western Monmouth County to be exact. How long does it take you to get to WDW driving straight through?? We are traveling with our two kids (8 & 3) and my mil. She doesn't want to drive straight through. She didn't realize until today that we planned on doing that, so we now plan on leaving earlier that Thursday. She was originally supposed to fly and not drive with us, but my DH wasn't 100% sure that he would get the time off. And well now it is too late, and she is with us for the trip down. I am hoping we are still speaking after this trip. Part of me really wants to stay home. Especially after last years family trip. Let's just say I am a masochist!!

Oh, how long does it take to get to the Richmond or Savannah area??

Thanks again :)

For time comparisons, Brunswick Ga is just about 4 hours from WDW--even a bit less if no traffic problems. We left Brunswick at 6:30 AM and arrived at OKW at 10:10 sharp. And that included one rest stop---

Agree with everyone as I just did it. Savannah is about 5 hours from WDW and has a lot of places to stay.

We drove straight thru from MA and would have done it in 22 hours with 2 drivers if not for construction and accidents. (we easily made it home in 22 hours)

It was not a big problem to drive thru, just take rest stops when needed and don't be afraid to switch when needed. The little bit of extra time to make a rest stop for 5 or 10 minutes can be easily made up on the road.

We are driving down again in Dec DS (18) dd (23) and myself. DW and DD(16) are flying down and we will meet them at MC.

5 in the pickup would be a little much for that long of a drive, but 3 is not
