Driving to WDW - Portable DVD players

We will be driving from NJ to WDW shorty, has anyone had
any luck finding a portable DVD player w/car adaptor kit ?
I was hoping to find one that we can control from the front
seats while entertaining little ones in the back. So far everything
I've seen appears to require the operator to climb over the seat
to change DVDs or disconnect the player and move it up front. It
would be great to find one with a detached screen.

Walmart.com has one with two screens, car kit and bag for $278. The screens are seperate from the unit so you can have it up front. It is a Durabrand model no. PVS1960. This is the one we are planning on getting. They do have one that comes with the battery(PVS1966) for $298 but that does not have the seperate unit. Hope this helps.

Thanks. We did try the Durabrand model no. PVS1960 but
returned it. The main unit kept blowing fuses and the
second screen never did come on.

We have a Durabrand one from Walmart that was $198 I think...it has a case so it can hang over the back seat and the remote works pretty good from the front (front passenger can operate the remote when the unit is hanging on the back of the drivers seat. You do have to get to the unit to change DVDs but it isn't too hard to unhook the lower clip and swing it around to do from the front. Would not be possible for the driver to do without stopping of course, but the "co-pilot" can change DVD's without too much hassle.

I work in a Walmart automotive dept. where the Durabrand pvs1960 can be purchased. I have had one set up and running 7 days a week, 12 hours day for the last 3 months as a display model at our automotive counter. We haven't had a single problem with it. I've been so impressed with its performance that I purchased one for our upcoming WDW trip in October. We've used it several times to test it out before our trip and so far it has worked beautifully. :thewave:
