Have always wanted to stay at WBC, but wondering if it's the best choice for our next trip, which will be Universal/SeaWorld parks this time.

What's the drive like? Are we better off to find something closer? We plan to be in Orlando 10 nights - 5 days will be park days, other will be a drive to ocean, shopping and just relaxing. Probably Downtown Disney & some dining at Disney resorts to get a bit of our Disney fix in.

We are planning on going near the end of April.

So many choices!

There are a few very good hotels near Universal Studios & Sea World.

Both Universal & Seaworld are just off the Hwy I 4 as are the turns for Disney

For your Ocean Days .... Stay on Hwy I 4 West for Tampa & Gulf

For Kennedy S.C & CoCoa Beach area head for Orlando Airport ( MCO )& on

For your Disney " Fix " go to the Boardwalk & Light house Pier to see Fireworks etc.

Down Town Disney is a mess as it is under reconstruction

There are Many more places to eat besides eating at Disney places

I'd definitely stay at WBC. We always go to universal and sea world and drive not a problem. Easy access to I4. Yes it's a bit further than other hotels but WBC such a great place to come back to after a long day at the parks.

This is just my advice after going to US 3x and Sea World once. For US, staying on site is worth the money spent. You get basically "front of line" passes for most of the rides. You can go on a ride 5x in a row and pass the same people over and over and over while doing it. They sell this pass, but is only good once per ride. I know people that have stayed offsite (like at WBC), book a one night stay at a US resort, not use it just to get the ride access.

Sea World does not really have a pass unless you stay at one of the resorts right across the street. We stayed at the Renaissance Inn which is a gorgeous hotel. I cannot recall the exact details, but you get FP access to each of the rides there that accept it. I think it is worth staying at one of those hotels, especially if you like rides like Manta and Kraken.

I agree with the PP that suggested staying on site at Universal. The drive isn't bad from WBC to the Universal area, but the front of the line access you get at the Uni hotels is pretty great, especially if you are going to the parks multiple days it would be worth it.

Thanks all.

I think what I may do is book first couple of nights at a SeaWorld hotel for the Quick Que, then transfer over to WBC. It's my dd's birthday while we are there, so I think I will book a night on her bday at one of the US hotels that give the express passes and we can pack a bag for one night - check in super early and get the express pass benefits for 2 days.

Those king beds and Jacuzzi tubs and the kids on the other side of the condo will be worth the extra drive a couple of times. :lmao:

SeaWorld does sell Quick Queue Unlimited. That time of year runs about $19/person. You can buy it the day you visit the park but you probably won't even need it the end of April.
