Couple of question for you: Using google maps for directions to CR and it has "restricted usage" on Contemporary Drive. I'm wondering what that's referring to.

We're staying at another resort and going to CR for supper & the the Pirates boat ride (not the correct name - the one to watch Wishes). I've read that they'll let you park there for 3 hours but we'll be gone longer than that. Do you think that's a problem?

Also read that if we can't get parking we can pay for the Valet and even though we're not staying here, we won't have any time restrictions on the parking. Does anyone know if that's true and what the cost might be?
TIA!

You should have no trouble parking at the CR for your ADR and fireworks cruise. I'm not sure what roadway would have restricted usage though. The road into the CR/MK area, (World Dr, if I remember correctly) from by the TTC, is open to everyone. Or, are you thinking of another roadway???
You can pay to valet park...would cost about $15, plus tip. But as long as you are not planning on heading to the MK for the evening, you should encounter no issues just self-parking there.

Contemporary Drive is the road right in front of the hotel and it is restricted access because there is a guard gate. When you arrive, you'll have to show ID and tell the guard your reason for being there. (Sometimes they don't ask, but since lots of people try to park at CR to visit MK, they usually do.) Then the guard will direct you toward self parking or valet.

I thought valet was still $12 but maybe it went up to $15. The nice thing about valet is that you pay once per day and have in-and-out privileges at all the resorts that offer valet. Keep that in mind if you are visiting any other deluxe resorts that day prior to your cruise.
