Driving to FL? tolls, anyone get an EZ pass?

I have read that it cost us about 48.00 in tolls so some people have suggested getting an EZpass, but we are 3 weeks away and don't want to take chance with the postal service mailing it to us. Can I buy one in Maine?

I never thought of the tolls?? I guess we have always been so lucky and with the 407 the bill is just delivered. How do I get an easy pass? We are not going until March so I would think I'd have time to get one? Any and all help is appreciated. Houzer

I don't know about from the East Coast but from Toronto you will only pay about $5-6 in tolls each way.

EZ Pass works only along the northern U.S. eastern seaboard, generally the I-95 area. The last EZ Pass toll is somewhere in Delaware, then you can go all the way down to Disney and not pay any more tolls .

Yes you can buy EZ Pass in Maine.

They're used more than the NE seaboard. I've gone through toll booths in Western NY State, and West Virginia that use EZ Pass.

Should I buy an EZpass, last I read you can load the card so I thought I would put 50.00, but I don't really know if that's possible. On the I95 web site it gives tolls from Maine to Fl and you are right Seashore CM about no more tolls after the Delaware/ Maryland areas. Where could I purchase an EZpass in Maine?
