Driving to DW from Ohio-where to stop? anything to see on the way?

We are going I 95 from Columbus to Orlando in May. I would like to find out where the best places to stay along the way since we will be stopping one night on the way there. I'm thinking, around 10 hours into the drive. Does anyone have any suggestions on tried & true hotels? Also, are there any interesting things to see on the way there? I would love to see Savannah but I'm not sure if it would be out of the way & if we would have enough time. I just want to experience a little more than Disney on our trip since we are driving so long! I'm trying to do research online but it's so much better to hear first story accounts from those who have actually experienced it.

Yes I think we are. My husband is planning route but I think that is what he decided on.

We are up near Cleveland. If we leave in the morning we normally stop at the Fairfield Inn in Orangeburg SC. They have a great breakfast buffet.

Driving from Cleveland, I usually stop around Columbia, SC. It is about ten hours for us. I have also driven as far as Savannah, GA. There are quite a few decent Marriott and Hilton owned hotels near both of these locations. The last time we drove down in 2009, we stayed at a Springhill Suites by Marriott near Savannah, GA. On our upcoming trip, I have a reservation at the Hilton Garden in Columbia.

We start in central Ohio and prefer driving 75 stopping south of Atlanta...or just north if we get a later start. We're intent on getting to the world so don't make other sightseeing visits.
