driving to DW, finding a hotel near DW before resort check in

I'm driving to DW from the Lancaster, PA area in a couple of weeks. Our plans have changed and my husband has off work on the Friday we are leaving. We are going to leave around 5am-7am on Friday morning. Our check in day at pop century is Saturday. I think we may be able to just drive straight through or at least get most of the way. My question is..if we do end up doing it all in one day, where is a good place to stay near Disney for Friday night? Or if we don't make it what are some good places to stop that are almost there? I think it's going to take us about 19 hours to get there. With 3 kids and stops...who knows though.

I would be very surprised if you arrive in Orlando before Saturday morning. It will be very early in the morning mind you! You probably won't find a much better deal or nicer place than going right on through to Pop Century. I would check to see how available they have rooms for Friday night. I do think you are making a good choice to drive through the night, kids are soooo easy to travel with when they are sleeping.

We have driven from Upstate NY many times. We have stopped at Pooler Georgia (just across the state line). For us it was about 16 hours, so for you it would probably be 13. This only leaves about 6 hours of driving the next day. I hate to only get 1/2 way and then have a ton of driving the next day.

PS--There is a website that shows all kinds of information about I-95. I'm not sure of the address, but you could probably find it on google.
