We are driving to Disney from the Buffalo border and eventually to the I-95.

We are planning to leave at around 5pm on a Thursday.

Any advice on where to stop and stay that is nice on the beach.

We would like to do 2 nights on the beach somewhere before we have to check in at OKW on the Sunday?

Thanks for any advice

Hi Debbie

I won't even consider gving you any of our "stops" because we use the "leisurely driving plan" :rotfl: :rotfl: (4 days down, 2 1/2 days back).

We love the Hampton Inn in Cocoa Beach FL. It is not right on the water but a very short walk down a pathway. If you time your stay on any day that the Magic or Wonder sails out, you can see the ship sail by from either your hotel balcony or from the beach. It is very cool.

Have fun on your Disney trip. We leave on our 14 day "Magical" adventure in 24 days!!!!!

I live in Southern NJ and I believe it's around an 18 hour drive from here to Orlando. I don't know exactly how far it is to the Buffalo, NY border from here, but we can get to Alexandria Bay (thousand islands ny) in about 7 hours. Ocean City, NJ is my absolute favorite of the Jersey Shore. It's probably 1 hour south of Philadelphia, PA (1-95 goes right by Philly). It's a very family oriented, clean, beautiful beach. There is also Wildwood, NJ which is not far from there which is more of the night life, bigger amusement pier... I could go on and on about the beaches down here. It's a matter of how close to Orlando before you stop. Private message me and I could give you more info. Good luck choosing.

I think there is a book called "Along 1-95" which will have every single gas station and WAffle House marked. :) We had the ALong 1-75 Counterpart and it was HUGELY useful when we went down in March.

Good luck!

thanks for all the great info.

We have an old version of along the I-75 which we will use for our drive home.

I can't seem to find the Along I95 version when I do a search and wonder if you know the author?

Thanks again everyone.

Hi Debbie

I would try calling the I-75 people. I remember reading something that came with my latest I-75 book about friends putting out the I-95 book. I tried to find my book tonight to see who the authors of the I95 were but can't seen to locate it...

Good luck and have a great time in Disney!!!

Elaine

P.S. Do you scrapbook? if you do, maybe we could get together and scrapbook and talk about Disney?

Hello,

The book is Drive I-95 and you can find it online at both chapters and amazon for 30% off. Along Interstate 75 is also there too (for 30% off as well). I have seen both at various stores as well.

Good luck on your trip planning!
