We just drove this today and noticed that there are toll roads but no longer toll booths. Should I anticipate receiving a bill in the mail? Should I have purchased something before travel?

Thanks!

The Grand Island tolls went cashless in March.
You should receive a bill in the mail for $1 in about a month.

Still waiting for my toll-by-mail invoice from June 24th from Niagara Falls,NY

You should contact someone. It supposed to be 4 weeks to 1 month. I went through on July 17th and received it right around August 17th.
They may not have your correct acddress and the late fee will start accumulating and then they want you to pay a small fee plus buy EZ pass which is BS.

We drove over the bridge in April and never got a bill....assuming my husband didn't get it and never told me

Thanks so much everyone! Will wait to receive the bill and pay it then. Guessing I can just pay it online using my credit card?

I just called Toll-by-Mail NY and they don't have my license plate in their system for when we drove through at Niagara Falls. He said to call again in the future but that usually it takes 3 weeks to have the toll register in their system.

You will get a bill in the mail.... eventually. I did a trip over in July and it took about a month for the bill to show up. For $1. I paid online by entering my license plate number and my VISA. (And I live in the area!)

If it hasn't shown up after that 3-4 weeks, try calling or going to Tolls By Mail NY and enter your License Plate number and see if it has registered yet.

We drove by the Niagara Falls toll by mail June 24 and there’s nothing in their system yet for our plate number. Also, I couldn’t find a way to do a search with a Canadian license plate (no bill number) on their website?!?

Wow!

That's crazy. Maybe it takes longer for NY to look up foreign license plates?

I know it took a very long time for my parents to get a toll bill from Canada about 15 years back.

Keep calling, I guess. Document your calls in case you get a Whopper of a bill because it's so late... But maybe the new toll system didn't register your car at all?

Thanks for the advice. I just took a screenshot of my call just in case...
