ROADS CLOSED IN SOUTH GA AND NORTH FL DUE TO WILDFIRES
UPDATED 1 PM MONDAY MAY 21: Smoke from the ongoing wildfires in South Georgia and North Florida is affecting visibility on interstates and state routes on the Georgia coast from South Carolina to Florida and 100 miles inland. Motorists should be cautious while traveling in these areas or avoid them altogether.
The following roads remain closed due to wildfires:
Georgia
- US 441 between Fargo and Florida Line
- SR 177 between Stephen C. Foster State Park and Fargo
Traffic is allowed on I-75 as visibility permits. Expect frequent closures and use alternate routes if possible.
Florida
- US 441 between CR 246 and the Georgia Line is open to local traffic only
- SR 2 is open to local traffic only
Traffic is allowed on I-10, I-75, I-95 and I-295 as visibility permits. Expect frequent closures and use alternate routes if possible.
