At the title suggests, we are leaving this Saturday morning to drive to FL for our first Disney trip (we are traveling with two kids - 3 and 5). My obvious concerns are getting through LA in the morning/lunch hours and being able to get gas in LA and MS. Unfortunately, there is only one real route through LA to get to FL - Interestate 10/12. I have been searching the internet for any information on the conditions of the roads/area and gas. As of yesterday evening, I wasn't able to find much information. I am sure more information will come out today since most of the storm has left the LA area. Is there anyone in the area that can give me some idea of what is going on in this area and about the gas situation (shortages or not).

On one hand I was happy the storm didn't hit FL and I didn't have to reschedule/cancel our reservation. On the other hand, now I have the uncertainty of our drive through LA and MS. :worried:

I saw a report that I10 was closed due to flooding in Louisiana. Pilot Travel Centers are updating their Facebook page daily with what locations are closed and what are open. Murphy Oil is doing the same.

I also believe that US 90 is closed through Mississippi, which would be an I10 alternate.
