We'll be driving in to Anaheim from Primm, NV on a Tuesday morning to go to the park Feb 27-March 5. I'm curious about the best way to drive in. I could just follow my GPS or Google Maps but I'd love some input from locals about highways/roads to avoid. We'll be leaving Primm around 9 in the morning, hoping to check in at BWPPI between 12-1. Last time we drove in it was late at night and traffic wasn't an issue.

Google has us taking I-15 to CA-60 then merge onto CA-57 in Diamond Bar and getting off on Katella then taking that to Harbor Blvd. Is there a better way around that time of day?

That is a good route, with Carpool lanes much of the way, including a special carpool exit from the 60 to the 57. Of course, any sort of traffic problem can change the best route. If you are using a Smartphone in California, do NOT have it in your hand at any time, even at a traffic light! Get a dashboard mount for it, or have a passenger do all the work and just show it to you when needed.

And taking Katella gets you on Harbor going north, so it is an easy right into the BWPPPI&MS. (Just be careful of all the pedestrians as they don't pay attention to the traffic light crosswalk in front of the Hotel's entrance.)

Thanks DB! That's just what I wanted to hear. This is our 3rd stay at BWPPI so I'm familiar with the inattentive pedestrians having been one myself lol.

That's probably the best way. You could also come across the 210w from the 15 and then head down the 57s, but I don't know if that would be any faster. You might want to see what the google times on that route is. The 60 can be a cluster.

IMHO, the 57 is a worst drive at many times, and unless you have a FasTrak device, you can not use the special lanes.

The 60 allows anyone vehicle with 2 or more people in it to access the Carpool lanes, s you have much of the 60, and the connector to the 57, and much of the 57 staying in the carpool lane, which is usually better than the regular lanes. (No special device needed).

As for the crosswalk, glad you know, no way to start a vacation by hitting someone with a vehicle, even if it isn't your fault, and the hit causes no injury....

Have a great trip!
