We are driving down to Disney in May from Kenosha, WI (roughly 35 minutes south of Milwaukee and 45minutes north of chicago when traffic is light). Leaving on a Saturday. Never driven to Florida.
I’m not a drive straight through person, and the kids won’t fall back to sleep if we leave in the wee hours of the morning. We are all fairly used to road trips, but 12-14 hours in one day is my limit for car time.
Was thinking of stopping a little north of ATL for the night. Thoughts? Is that about 13-14 hours? (I know from experience that google is always a pretty big underestimation.)
where do we need to watch for traffic? I know Nashville can get hairy, but I’m usually headed there on a Thursday or Friday- how’s a Saturday afternoon?
Will Atlanta be bad on the Sunday morning?
thanks in advance!!
