We are planning our trip to Fort Wilderness for August 2007. We will be towing our 27ft camper. Any helpfull advice from anyone that has travelled from WNY would be great!

we considered driving this year as well because back in January when I booked our trip airline prices were VERY high!!!!! Now as my day approaches thank the good lord above that we are flying. I can't imagine taking 21 hours to get to the world when we will be there in 4 and half hours next tuesday.

We really enjoy the ride down to the World. The drive has became part of our vacations. IMO the drive is not a bit bad. We usually start off around/before 4am. Then do a stop-over after 12 hours. Depart for WDW before sun ups and arriving there before noon. (We did this in August)
Next August we plan to drive straight and brave the road without any traffic(hopefully)
First we will take 81S to 66E to 17S to 95S and finally I-4W, all in around 19 hours.

Welcome Marybrat....since you are new, did you also see the Camping Board? You might also want to post this question there, since you might get a few responses to hauling a camper. Hope you have a great trip. Love 81 but it is Up and Down

We have always driven, but have recently made the switch to flying. Just too much with all the kids.

We take 90, 79, 77, 26, 95, I-4.

We also leave at 3-4 am, stop and stay over in South Carolina, then finish up in the morning. :)
