Driving from TPA to Beach Club-need input!

OK, so it looks like we will fly PHL-TPA rather than to MCO on 11/15--cost is about $50 less pp, so $200 savings.

Planning to rent a car at TPA and then drop it off same day at the Dolphin.

Since we'll have a car (and a 1BR at BCV), want to make a stop for groceries/wine on the way over.

It looks like it is pretty much straight I-4 over to Disney--anyone have any other input on the drive from TPA to BCV?

Where would you recommend to make that stop--pretty much looking for a stop with the best deals, and if we could get wine at the same stop, that would be great.

Any advice appreciated!

TPA is an easy straight forward drive to Disney. There is a Publix grocery store at exit 58 (AKA Champions Gate) exit on I-4. Its not far from Disney and its easy to get off/on the highway. Its not a very congested area which I like. Yes they have wine at this Publix.

There is also a Publix and a Super Target on 192 just off of 429. You would take I-4 to 429, which is one exit after the Champion Gate exit on I-4. Take 429 north to the 192 exit. As soon as you get on 192 heading east Target will be on your right and Publix is across the street. ****429 is a toll road and I am not sure what the cost is to get off on 192. You can make your way to Disney via 192 but it is very very congested.

We always stop at the Publix in Campion Gate and they have everything we need.

Ohioans must think alike! Ditto to what Shelly said. We do TPA. Love it. Easy drive and less airfare. Publix should have what you want. Nice grocery store.
