Driving from T.O. to Disney World - best route? Halfway point?

In August, i paid about $300 each way in gas (using a very full Montana SV6 as transportation).

I drove straight through so can't comment on hotels.

We used our Astro and it cost us roughly $330 each way for fuel. We stayed ay Holiday Inn Express. We choose them because there maninly new hotels with contenental breakfast, indoor pool, free internet inroom, and non-smoking. They were a bit more money but we liked it. We didnt make ressys. We had a book from CAA that told us where all the hotels are and phone numbers. So about a hour or 2 before we want to stop we called them to make sure they have room and they held a room for us. No problems. enjoy your trip.
