Hi,
My family and I are thinking of making a trip to Stonehenge during our visit to England in September. We've been there once as part of a bus tour and the time spent at Stonehenge was far to short. We're thinking of staying in Salisbury and heading out to Stonehenge this time. I've read that there are buses that go from Salisbury train station to Stonehenge on a fairly regular basis, so that is one option. However, I was looking around the Stonehenge heritage website and there are 'Stonehenge Circle Access' opportunities, but they are only during non-normal operating hours (either early in the morning or late in the afternoon), so we'd have to find our own way to and from Stonehenge. I was wondering what the drive is like from Salisbury to Stonehenge. Is there a lot of traffic? Is the drive pretty easy (it looks pretty straight forward on the map, but sometimes map can be misleading)? I've never driven in the UK before, so I'm a little hesitant about that as well.
Thanks!
