driving from NY to Disney

Has anyone ever traveled route 301 instead of 1-95 through Washington, Balitmore and Maryland? If so, I wanted to know if its a better route.

Not sure which way you're going, but I live in Binghamton, NY and we take 81 to 17 to 95 in Fredericksburg (south of Washington). Takes us just under 6 hours to Fredericksburg....Much faster (a few more miles though) than the Beltways.

88 connects with 81 in Binghamton....Very easy ride and usually little or no traffic.

I live in Albany NY. Will that route work for me? Thank for the replies....

I live in Maryland between DC and Baltimore (a bit closer to Baltimore), and really don't think I'd recommend that route. I think I went that way over to southern Maryland once - traffic lights will slow you down a lot. Are you worried about rush hour? Even so, I'd take I-95.
