Driving from Hilton Head Island to WDW?

We are driving from DHHIR to WDW during the week of 4th of July.

Looks like it is interstate from 95 down.

Any others made this drive before?

I drive down from the Raleigh area and use I-95. You'll be on the better portion as it goes from 2 lanes to 3 lanes once you crossover from SC to GA. I do suggest taking 295 around Jacksonville - follow the signs to JAX beach and then continue onto 98 which then joins 95 on the south side of Jax. It's the same amount of time, but has less traffic in my experience.

We live in Savannah so pretty close to HHI. Drive this route every few months to Disney. Agree sometimes depending on traffic 295 may be best. We use Waze for most up to date reports.

Yes. We have a home in HHI and drive to WDW. We usually take 1-95 and keep our eye on the Waze app as we get into Jacksonville. If something happens on 95 that 5 hour trip becomes 8. Also, you don’t say what day you are driving but if it is Sat get off the island ASAP in the morning. The bridge is a nghtmare leaving from 8-Noon and coming on from noon-6.

Stop at Buccees in St Augustine for your mid drive break
