We have decided to add 2 days to our trip and will visit Universal after Disney. Is there a site that gives us directions? I know it is only about 10 minutes away...
What about looking it up on Mapquest? I use it for everything and then print out maps before I go.(even for special stores I want to visit while there LOL)
The distance and time from Disney to Universal depends on your starting point and time of day (which will dictate the amount of traffic if you take I-4). To get to Universal take I-4 east to exit 75A. You'll turn left at the end of the exit but there are two or three left turn lanes there, get into the left turn lane on the right. You'll travel on a bridge over I-4 and shortly see the signs for the huge parking garage which is on the right.
There are also other local roads that would get you there pretty quickly but might not be as convenient depending on where you're staying.
You can see I-4 going past; WDW is southwest of Universal , also along I-4.
Keep in mind that even though I-4 runs diagonally through most of Orlando, all of the road signs are marked "East" and "West". So Universal is East of WDW when you take I-4.
If you arrive by Orlando airport, you will see the exit driving to Disney.
We just head back to the airport and follow the signs. It isn't far. If you reach the airport, you missed the exit and went too far.
