Hi,

We plan to leave Cleveland around 4 a.m. on a Saturday. Any guess as to where we'll be after 12 hours of actual driving? Any hotel suggestions? How much should I expect in tolls?

Any help is appreciated.

From central ohio we usually stop at Kingsland, GA, which is about a 12 hour drive. Anywhere between Savanah and Kingsland will be good to stop. Fill up before you leave GA.

We are from Akron. According to my map software the trip from Cleveland is 1060 miles and 12 hours of driving puts you entering Georgia. Savanna is the first major city. Last trip we pushed ourselves to Jacksonville and stayed overnight. This addes 2.5 hours but makes the next day 2.5 hours and you are at the magic.

As far as a place to stay, need to have particulars of budget, likes, things you look for etc.. I use www.expedia.com.

have fun.

We are from Akron and we usually leave about 4am too. We drive 12 hours and stay in Richmond Hill, GA. It is just below Atlanta. We like to get out of the big city. Have a great trip.

Thank you for your suggestions...

Does anyone remember what the tolls were?

Betty

Don't remember the tolls, but if you have kids and want an indoor pool there is a Best Western Pointe South that has one. Just south of Walterboro. That swim seems to really help us out after a long day in the car. We are in Marietta, and it is about a 10 hour drive from here with basic stops.

We drove last time and stopped right outside of Savannah, at a Days Inn right off I-95. It was nice, clean, and had a pool.. good for an overnight stop!

If you're going through WV tolls are $3-4.
