Driving from Calgary, Alberta to Disneyland

I am planning a trip next October to Disneyland. My boyfriend and I are planning to drive. We are planning on taking 10 days to do this. We want to take 2 days to drive down, spend 5 days in the park, and take 3 days to drive back, with a stop in Las Vegas. I have read some blogs about people's trips down, but would just like to hear some more stories. It sounds like it is worth it to drive!

My first thought is....5 days at Disneyland and only 1 in Vegas???

How much time (if any) have you spent in either Disneyland or Vegas?? I think even if it's your first trip, you don't need 5 days at Disneyland. JMHO

Well I was there once with my family about 13 years ago, and 5 days didn't seem like enough time. Maybe it was because I was 16 and didn't want to leave, but that was also before California Adventure was there, so I just wanted to make sure I had lots of time there. Plus my boyfriend has never been. Also we are not gamblers or much for drinking. The only thing we really want to do in Vegas is shop a bit and see it at night. Nothing too much.

Actually, I do have one question right now about Disneyland. I have read about a Lilo and Stitch breakfast at the PCH grill, and I was just wondering if it still exsists. On the Disneyland site it just says "Mickey and Friends". And if it's not, is there anywhere to meet Stitch?

The last I heard, Stitch is still there, but Lilo has gone off to college or something.
