Driving Directions to Vistana Resort From Parks

We have visited Disney World several times and usually stay at the Vistana Resort (not Villages). As unbelievable and embarrassing as it is, we usually get lost coming back from the theme parks late at night. For our next trip I will be the only driver and would like to avoid heading to Tampa at midnight, etc. Are there any easy directions, tips, for returning to the Vistana Resort from the parks? Returning from the Magic Kingdom seems to be a particular challenge for us. Thank you.

Hi there....
Should take you about 10 min (once you exit the parking lot and barring no major traffic). Here you go :

Follow World Drive until you get to the ramp toward EPCOT/ DOWNTOWN DISNEY (take this).

Stay STRAIGHT to go onto EPCOT CENTER DR

Merge onto I-4 E toward ORLANDO.

Take the SR-535 exit, EXIT 68, toward LAKE BUENA VISTA

Turn RIGHT onto FL-535 S/ S APOPKA VINELAND RD/ KISSIMMEE-VINELAND RD.

Got down through 3 lights (or so) and take a right into Vistana main drive........

However......that being said, at the end of the night, I-4 is often a zoo. To get around this, we often follow directions to DD/Marketplace. Once on Buena Vista Drive, you'll pass DD/Marketplace on the left of you. Go to Hotel Plaza Blvd and make a RIGHT. You will wind around the DD hotels and come out at the Goodings shopping center directly in front of you. Make a right here (so make sure you are in one of the two right-hand lanes). A couple lights down and you'll hit Vistana.

PS : I always remember when going TO WDW, take I-4 WEST (I think....GO WEST YOUNG MAN ! to find gold). I know it's weird, but it's how I remember. SO you reverse on the way home to your offsite hotel and go I-4 EAST.

It will depend on what park you are leaving, as to how the signs will route you to an exit. If you are leaving via 1-4 you should be taking it EAST to Orlando, then take the 535/LBV exit; from AK the Osceola Pkwy goes right to I-4. If you drive out hotel row at DTD, you'll go right onto 535, go under I-4, hotel is on right about a mile down. When leaving MK, I'd suggest ignoring the signs out to 192 (it's the long way around); instead head back towards EPCOT or DTD, then follow those signs out. Follow signs to EPCOT ... you can take 536 out of EPCOT past the Marriott World Center, then left on 535 (hotel will then be on your left). Hope it makes sense, this map may help. FWIW.

Yes...my directions were from the MK since the OP specifically mentioned she had trouble with that one. I usually just look for signs for DD/Marketplace for all others and exit out via Buena Vista Drive and then Hotel Plaza Blvd to the Goodings shopping center. Never takes more than 10 min and you avoid the I-4 headaches which can occur frequently.

Well, I have to say, I travel to Disney at least 2-3 times a year, & get lost leaving the park at least 2-3 times a year. Your not alone

Last trip, I took my Rhoda(Garmin) down, & she got be back, without any promblem.

I go a little different.

world drive to East Buena Vista Drive (where the Epcot resorts are) then turn right (overpass) to Epcot Center Drive(536 - also World Center Parkway) (so stay on this road until it gets to 535) - then turn left at 535 - and around left (which can be a problem) at Sheraton Vistana resort
