Hi, i am staying at Lindfields this July and on one of our non park days I would like to visit sawgrass mills I would be grateful for driving directions please.
Goodness thats a long drive, its on the outskirts of Fl Lauderdale, there is a bypass type road that goes arount the west side of the town. We approached it from Alligator Alley as we were staying near Naples. It was easy enough to find from there. Try Mapquest but from Lindfields I reckon you will be looking at a 4.5 hr drive.
Hi jakifamily!
Do you mean the outlet mall or is there a place called Sawgrass Mills which is worth a visit? I'm interested as we need to stay overnight somewhere down that way as we drive from Orlando to Key West. We've told our teenage daughter we'll stop there for her shop-til-you-drop experience! Just wondered if it had anything else to reccommend it (as if anything other than a shopping mall was needed!)
Best wishes
Alison
Hi, yes it is the outlet I wanted. I have been told that it is a day trip in itself. Now DH has to find somewhere to stay for the night if it is that much of a journey.
I found the quickest, not to mention easiest and safest, way to Sawgrass from Orlando is to take the turnpike (approx $10) all the way south to the Sunrise Boulevard exit, then head west on Sunrise for about 4 miles and the mall is on the right. With the 70mph speed limit it can be done in a little over 3 hours even if you take a couple of 15-20 minute breaks at the rest areas. Definitely worth the trip though!
