Drive or use the bus?

We are staying at AKL next year and I just wondered whether folks recommended taking the bus to the parks or driving. Apologies if there are threads about this elsewhere but I can't find them (I am a beginner!) .

You'll find many people on these boards who love to drive, and many who love WDW transportation.

One thing I think we can all agree on: It's MUCH easier and faster to take the bus to the MK than it is to drive there.

We used to drive when our kids were small but now that they are teens we take the bus every time.

We stayed at AKL and loved the transportation. AKL almost never shares a bus with other resorts. Another plus for the buses is door to door service, especially at MK.

The flip side is that the bus ride itself is a bit longer for AKL because it's pretty far from other locations. But that was never a problem for us; we actually liked the chance to sit and rest!

I agree with snowy76: bus service at AKL was good and relaxing.

I drive a car to the parks when: 1. I want to park hop on the same day. 2. I am not planning on staying til the ending event at a park (Ie Wishes, Illumninations, Fantasmic).

I've driven around WDW enough to feel very comfortable about my directions and where I am going. If I needed to use a map, I would feel a little more uncomfortable driving.
