Drive or take the bus to dinner show at the Wilderness?

Hello,
we are arriving on Sat morning in 4 weeks to AKV
I will then get a car rental for one day so I can buy some groceries and go to Church early on Sunday and then take the car to return it by MK at the car center and then stay at MK.
We have reservations for Sat at 715 pm for the show at the wilderness but we are debating if we should take the car or the bus to MK and then the boat.
My DS wants to go on the bus , but I think it would be faster if we drive.
any opinions??

It would be faster to drive to FW..but don't forget to budget time to then take the internal bus to Pioneer Hall.

We always go to Wilderness Lodge then take the boat to Fort Wilderness

I would drive to FW unless, you plan on drinking.. (Free wine and beer). It is a long trip, at least an hour. Also if it is a park day you will have time to shower/change and relax for an hour this way.

yeah, we are arriving that day so no park day, we will stay by the pool, our plane leaves at 6 am . I will for sure have some of that great sangria with my sis since the husbands are not going, but my oldest daughter doesn't drink so she can drive on the way back. My 14 y/o DS wants to take the bus to MK and then take the boat so my sis and the kids can have the experience.

If you drive to FW, you will still have to park your car and transfer to a bus to get to Pioneer Hall.

I would definitely take the boat as Pioneer Hall is close to the boat dock. You could park at MK.
