Drive or take bus to MK with Ohana reservation after park close - what would you do?

So we will be spending the day at MK when it has an 8pm closing (Wishes is at 8pm) and have a 9:20 pm reservation at Ohana after. We will be driving to WDW so will have the option of driving to the parks. I originally planned Ohana for this day because of the ease of taking the monorail to the Poly but now, in thinking about it further, if we drive to MK and thus have a car will we be able to get back to it after our Ohana dinner (which will be well after MK park closing)? Would you take the bus to the park instead and take a cab back to your resort after Ohana (we'll be at Pop Century)?

I'd go the cab route - sounds simpler. Also, then if you have drinks with dinner you're good!

If you drive, you will be able to walk to your car afterwards. It could be a pretty long walk, though. If it were me, I would just take the bus in the morning and take a cab back after dinner.

You can drive to the TTC and take the monorail to MK, just to get a monorail fix if you want one, or take the ferry. After MK, I'd take the boat to Poly, rather than the monorail. At park closing, the resort monorail is normally packed. The boats are somewhat crowded and you might have to wait for one or two boats, but it's usually a faster trip than the monorail, which can often completely stop before the Contemporary and TTC stops. The boats only stop at GF before going to the Poly.

After dinner, just walk over to the TTC and retrieve your car.

An alternative is to go the TTC when MK closes (I'd take the ferry in that case), pick up your car and drive to the Poly. You'll have plenty of time to do that if you like.
