We are staying at Fort Wilderness and will have a car with us. What parks would it best for us to drive our car to or use Disney Transportation, including Disney Springs and the Water Parks. Looking to save time. I know we will ride the boat to Magic Kingdom, but what about the other places?

Our general rule is to not drive to the MK. The shuttle, possibly, and the monorail or boat from the T&TC adds a lot of time. The boat should be faster.

We usually stay at POFQ and Epcot and DHS are close drives. I suspect from Fort Wilderness (we have not stayed there) driving will be quicker for the other locations.

I drive to all of the parks, including MK. Something about the monorail being the first ride brings back memories from the 70s. I certainly don't blame you for taking the boat from fW though. The only time I remember NOT driving to a park was one time I hopped from MK to Epcot and left the car at MK and took the monorail. I just prefer the flexibility of driving over the buses.

If you don't want to bus, boat to MK. Boat to CR and then hop on the monorail to Epcot (stops at TTC first where you switch monorails). Then if you want to drive, drive to AK and HS. I'm not sure how the parking is at HS, we drive a car down and use Disney transportation for everything but we did drive to AK once on resort switch morning of a split stay. We got there about a hour before rope drop and parked about the third row back in the general parking area but it was up toward the front of that row. The walk to the park was just about the same distance as the walk from the bus. We left the park around 2 and leaving the park and driving to the Dolphin was quick and easy. We would never do it again because we like to have the occasional refreshing adult beverage and we won't drive even if we've only had one.

Thanks for all the responses. We will probably drive to most places other than MK. But there are times the Bus is less stressful, even if it does take a little longer. For some reason I think from the Fort to AK is not a direct route, you have to go by a water park first. The studios and Epcot are a direct route.
