Drive from Sanford to Disney

First time flying into Sanford Airport. Can anyone tell me about how long of a drive it is to Disney.

I would like to know the same thing!! Also are we better off to stick to the 417 (toll road I think) or I4? Any idea what the tolls would be?

Sanford airport is small, also easy to manage. DH did not like the long ride to Disney or all the tolls. Bring your EZ pass if you have it. Renting from National was easy, DH just didn't like all the hassle, said we should have rented towncar and forgotten about saving the $100.

It is my understanding that Disney is about 45 minutes to an hour from Sanford.

Correct. Sanford is about 45 minutes from Disney ... depending on the day and time. I4 can be a traffic nightmare and with seemingly endless construction, can be almost impossible to drive. When we did Sanford to Disney this August, we arrived very late on Saturday night and took I4 with no problem and returned late on a Sunday via I4 (with a stop at Universal) with no problem. Any other time and i would have taken the toll road. I hear it is quicker, too.

Thanks Hawkeye. We are considering using a shuttle service and letting the driving to them. I have never driven I4 but I hear it can be a nightmare. Let someone else get a couple of more grey hairs.LOL
