We're flying with Virgin to Orlando late September and usually take lots of water on board with us to drink during the flight. The last couple of times we have flown with Virgin the Cabin Crew weren't exactly forthcoming with the drinks so we are a little worried. Has anyone flown with Virgin since the restrictions were put in place and were the Crew more active on the drinks front? Thanks.

Can't help with flying Virgin recently. But wanted to say, don't feel shy about going to the galley to get refills of water... if water doesn't get brought round as often as you feel you need. You could even get a few cups at a time.

I am not a big "call button fan" (unless I am trapped in a window seat by a huge pro-wrestler - it has happened!), but never have any problem going to the galley and asking for more drinks.

We've flown with Virgin loads of times and the cabin crew are normally pretty good. However if they are not coming round too quick - go and help yourself at the galley.

You can get whatever you want - even beers and cokes etc.

The cabin crew don't mind and you can get as many as you want.

We do this all the time as we like you like to have plenty of fluids also when travelling.

Cheers

hi we travelled homw on wednesday and can tell you you will not get fluid of any sort on the plane. They scan everything, we had a ball that had been in the pool so therefore wet, and they undid the handluggage to find out what it was and safe to take. I have already posted we had to bin sunblock unopened cans of coke  and cigarette lighters as well as fruit we had to keep kids quiet (then had to go and buy sweets so they went on a sugar high  )
i repeat what everyone else says that you can help yourself to coke, water and oj in the aircraft, occasionnally lemonade too.
hope this helps

I have never had a problem asking for drinks, be it soft or alocholic. Normally they leave a jug of OJ and a jug of water in the galley with cups to help yourself, if they dont, just ask, they are normally very happy to help you.

What is and isn't allowed.

We have always found drinks with VA to be plentiful and extras, water and orange juice, always near to the galley to help yourself to during the flight.

Claire ;)

I was thinking about this also, we always take loads of water with us, I've never noticed the help yourself stuff before. That doesn't sound to bad then!!

We have nearly always flown with Virgin. When they come round with the drinks trolley they are more than willing to leave two cans of coke for dd, all you need to do is ask.

we flew back home yesterday with virgin. you are allowed 1 regular size hand luggage each up to 6kgs. the only thing you cant take on board are liquids, gels and anything like liquid make up etc oh and no snowglobes.

We have also always found it quite easy to get as much water as we want by going to the galley. We stick to water and fruit juice because caffeine and sugar are both diuretics.
