Drinks included in DDP

My family has the quick service dining plan. I know this includes 2 meals a day which include an entree, a drink, and a dessert. I also know it includes the resort refullable mug.

My first question...even though we will have the mug, if we eat at our resort, are we still able to pick a different drink as the drink that goes with each meal? Like, can I bring my mug to use, but also get a bottle of water or juice or something? Or can I only use the mug if at the resort? I only wonder bc it would be nice to have juice or something to bring back to our room for my girls!

Second question....what drinks are included in the ddp? Are bottled juices, bottled water, milk, etc even included? Or does it always have to be some sort of a fountain drink?

1. Yes, if you eat at your resort you still get to choose a drink with your meal. So you can get a bottled drink as your included drink, then use your refillable mug during your meal and save the bottled drink for later.

2. What drinks are included on the DDP varies by location. Typically bottled drinks (except alcohol) are included along with fountain drinks. I also found that things like iced coffees or frozen slushes are sometimes included as well. My advice is if you see a drink on the menu that you'd like, just ask if it's included. A lot of times I found that they were.

Yes you can select a drink as part of the dining plan and also use your refillable mug. We often got a bottled juice drink/chocolate milk with our breakfast and filled our mugs with coffee, hot chocolate, iced tea- whatever we wanted. I agree with PP to just ask if you're not sure about the drink choices. At the food courts I've mostly found that unless it was alcoholic it was included.
