Has anyone tried the fishy green ale? Is it good/gross? Also, we have the quick-service dining plan. It says you can order a "non alcoholic" drink with your meal. Does this mean any of the drink offerings except butterbeer? I've read conflicting info on this. Some say it only includes the cheaper ones like pumpkin juice.

I liked it! We were at the OI meetup this weekend so got to try a lot of stuff we normally wouldn't. DD ordered the fishy green ale and didn't care for it, but I did! It was refreshing and I loved the burst of the "pearls" in the drink. As for the other question I think it's anything except Butterbeer, that was counted as a snack on the plan.

I felt a little ill after it in all honesty but a few sips were fun and I liked it until the sugar hit me. Maybe as a shared thing this could be ok

:thumbsup2

We tend to share most of the drinks in Potter areas.....they are very sweet.

To be honest we don`t like any of the butterbeer drinks, but fizzy pumpkin juice and the other drinks are usually too sweet to drink a whole one, so yes, I agree, sharing is a good idea.

The fishy green ale tastes wonderful, but I would say be careful not to drink too much. My partner drank the whole beverage by himself and had a pretty bad stomach ache for a little while -- I image there is A LOT of sugar in this one.

We tried it at the OI meetup and neither of us were fans. It had an odd blend of spices (?) that didn't appeal to either of us. This may sound strange, but actually tasted like what I imagine a Christmas tree would taste like, if you ate it.

When I went in March, The Butterbeer was not considered an eligible "beverage" for the quick-service dining plan. However, you could use your snack credit to get the Butterbeer regular, frozen or the flavored Ice Cream.

Sorry buy I did not try the Gily water, when I used my quick-service dining plan at Three Broomsticks I got the Chicken & Ribs Platter along with a Pumpkin Juice which I did enjoy very much.

The Gilly Water is just bottled water with a fancy label. They charge $5.50 for one! We took about 5 back to our room after the meetup so we wouldn't have to buy bottled water for the next day. They were included with our meetup all you can eat tickets.

Drink with meal is only the fountain drinks. This does include the ciders and pumpkin drinks. Speciality drinks are drink/snack credits. Plan used to have a drink credit and a snack credit, in addition to the meal/drink credit. Now (or at least pre-covid) it’s two interchangeable snack/drink credits.
