Anyone ever heard of this? I have a co-worker that used to live in Orlando and work at Planet Hollywood. He said his friends (male and female) had a friend that would get them into the park free and they would start at Canada and go to each country until they were out of their mind at Mexico. He said one girl got busted for putting on a Sombrero and walking off with it on her head...not technically intentionally (or of sound mind anyway). Granted, this was years ago. My only gripe with something like that is that typically the boozers are pretty crude with the language, which is fine for me but not for children.

People do this all the time (myself included). I have never experienced anyone behaving bad. I find most people just get happy because they are in Disney.

A lot of people do this, we did once. Most responsible adults know when to stop.

I've never encountered drunk people at WDW - anywhere - but like back home, I'm sure they exist.

We encountered a group of dunken male and female 20-somethings somewhere between Germany and France at the F&WF last October. One young man loudly made a crude, immature comment about the anatomy one of my daughters as we walked together. One of his female companions saw the daggers in my eyes and apologized for her boyfriend being so drunk. I just commented on how proud of him she must be and kept walking.

Yes we do this...but never have we acted in anyway non family appropriate (language, fall down drunk, etc)....other then our drinking around the world tee shirts you wouldn’t notice us at all....(guess we qualify as the 30something crowd)....

Around food n wine you get more people who don’t know when to stop sampling...but in all the years we've been only once did we witness someone out of control...and his party was in the process of escorting him out of the park...

DH and father in law did this one year, they started in Mexico and we found them in France, DH asleep on a bench and father in law finishing up DH's beer!

We do this all the time, both alone and with friends, lol. It is a blast.

We have never seen anyone drunk and out of control.

I'm sure it happens but in all our visits have only seen one person obnoxious and out of control in the parks and it wasn't in Epcot. Have witnessed more problems up at Citywalk than PI. Don't do PI much except to visit the AC. or RR. Not to get OT, but it's a daily occurrance to see obnoxious drinkers on the Strip. During the NBA Allstar Weekend it got real ugly, over 400 arrests. You just don't see it in Disney. More power to you that can make it around the world. I can never make it out of the UK or Germany LOL. Have fun. pirate:

My DH tries to do it but he ends up just picking out the countries that he most wants to try...he kind of gets chickened out because he knows he can get pretty loud when he gets drunk. I have only seen one drunk person doing it and that was my BIL, only because we know him.

I do it all the time, the year before last I stopped in England for a yard and it started pouring rain. I decided it was the place to be, and drank many yards of beer and ate fish and chips, I was soaked to the bone along with my wife. I figured it was an authentic England time!! We had a blast !!!! we always said we would do it again if it rains when we are there!!

We've done this too. It is really fun and we have never seen anyone obviously drunk in all our years at WDW.

Heard of it. Tried it. Can never make it to the end (nor do I really intend to).

We always say we are going to do all the countries in 1 night every time we go to Epcot in the evening. We start off in Canada, hit Uk....have the beer sampler....then just 1 more Boddington's......um not sure what happens after that but we usually make it to Germany. Never been past Germany though on the tour (ah Hefeweissen), as we have snacks to go with our "adult onset binge drinking". the snacks are filling. This keeps me from wandering off under a sombrero muttering profanities ..... :thumbsup2

A Disney hangover is no more magical than a regular hangover after all........ :rotfl2:

I also have never seen anyone out of control drunk at Epcot (now resort Pool bars? lemme tell ya, seen some real characters there!) :rolleyes1

Yes, people do this often. A lot of times, people will share the drinks in order to not spend all their money and/or embarass themselves if they know they can't handle it. Some people end up totally drunk and everyone else is making a conscious effort to avoid them. Others you can barely notice the difference.

I was thinking the same thing: you don't need to be at WS to get drunk....

You just have to have a plan. We normally start in Mexico with a Frozen Margarita (lime/mango)[although now that they are opening the tequila bar, we might have to alter our plans somewhat] then move on to China to get a peach oolong tea (sweetened with Peach Shnapps). After China we head to Germany and get a nice refreshing wheat beer. After that we stroll over to Italy and get a small white wine and hang out at the tables there for a little while. After Italy we head to Japan for a small Sake then over to Morocco for a frozen slushie. After Morocco comes France where you get a flute of champagne. Then comes the fun part. Grab yourself a pint at the pub in the UK and head on over to Canada to enjoy your beverage while watching Off Kilter. The perfect end to a perfect day.

We didn't hit all of the countries in our quest, but that's because we started with a bottle of wine in France! We ended up in Mexico with a frozen margarita that they actually allowed us to take on the boat ride. Funny, because they were instructing me to keep my hand in back of the yellow line prior to entering the boat but allowed me onto the ride with a full drink!!! It did make the ride through Mexico feel a lot more authentic! We had a great time, but never behaved inappropriately (unless you consider accidentally embarking a ride with a drink in hand inappropriate)!!!
