drink/snack in lieu of CS dessert?

I had read a post (can't find it now} where the poster said she had discovered that she could get an extra drink or a snack instead of the dessert with her CS meal. I had never seen anyone mention this before and wondered if it is true or just a secluded incident that was at the discretion of a CM?

Would like to know as well. My DS's are not dessert eaters and would rather have extra water. Of course I eat their dessert. No wonder last trip I gained 5 lbs.
