I have seen some resort mugs with a date of 2003-2004 printed on them. Are these good thru the end of 2004? Thank you,

Here we go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good for the length of stay only and open for debate.

Ever feel like a yo-yo.....?

We can safely say you can use em till they tell you to loose them...

People on the boards are stickler for written rules, thus your getting ready to open a festering mug wound...but many resort CM's that man the great soda gates dont give a flip what ya put the pop in, even bread bags... (see previouse thread...)

So my 2 cents, use em till the Disney gods say no more. You'll never meet any of us unless you choose to....so read the thread with a smile..=D

They are good for the length of your stay. If you read the signs, you would have known this. They are posted in very hard to miss spots.

The "rules" for the newer mugs are printed on the mug, sign in your room, above the beverage bar at the resort. But will anyone stop you who knows.

The newer mugs you don't have to guess what the policy is.

I have pictures of the mugs and policy up on my Epson site listed below.

maybe, just possibly, they saw em on EBAY?

maybe never been to the parks??

maybe they listen to people like me that are a little more zealouse than others about being cheap??

SimbaruIIII, your better off leaving any mugs ya may have, or have access to at home. cuz multiple resorts are starting to put up signs saying these are length of stay only, most notably the new Pop Century Resort... and i say recently because it was a long standing, unwritten rule that you could use em for pretty much forever, and depending on the CM, may still be true.. but bottom line you really want to NOT budget new mugs into a trip and end up having to buy new ones out of your mad money cuz of a possibly KNOWN policy change??? I'd play it safe.

Thank you for the responses. I hope I get no more... Simple question on my part turned into a debate. I guess I should have worded it differently, by no means was I looking for a Cheap way out as one of you said, if I wanted a cheap vacation I don't think I would be going to Disney. I was just curious as to why the big scuttle over these mugs when they are dated with two years on them and they are expecting guests to abide by use them only thru your stay. They perhaps should have only one year on them or go the extra step to have them embedded with a barcode so they have be checked thru a line. People are going to try and save where they can - it won't be avoided. One thing that would be nice is after the mugs are purchased you would be allowed to use them thru Disney. Of course the price would have to be raised.

2003-2004 is one year. the "-" indicates "to".

This topic always elicits a debate. Just do a search on "mugs" or "refillable mugs" and see what comes up.

Those signs you mentioned have been up for a couple of years now. You are correct, however, some CMs do look the other way, others stick to the letter of the rule. I saw the sign when I purchesed my one an only refillable mug at AKL in Feb. of 02.

OT....can you let me know when DTV is going to start carrying the Tennis Channel? TIA

The intent was not to be rude, it was to be informative. Sorry you object.

Tennis channel.. hmm all i can say is bug us about it. we can do a request.. dtv chooses programing by how many request we get for certain stations, the most recent was nicktoons(302) late jan....

tennis channel has gotta get a lot more votes if there gonna get put on and keep there cost down for providers at the same time... and of course you have to let us get the contracts signed first..=D

Overall cost is the name of the game the next few years untill the HD upgrades are done...

Thanks for the info. When Tennis Channel comes on then I will probably get whatever provider provides it. :)

This is off the subject a little but does anyone know if Shades of Green has a resort Mug or is that just a Disney Resort type thing?

Just curious... when you say those signs have been up for a couple of years and then say you saw the sign when you purchased your one and only mug in 1992... are you saying that a "couple of years" is 12yrs and that those signs have been up for 12yrs? or are you saying you saw a different sign at that time?

Opps, it should have been 2002. It would have been impossible for me to have purchased my AKL mug in 92. In fact, I don't even think the mug program was around in 92. My bad.
