It has been a long time since I have been on a cruise. I just need some guidance in what to wear. During the day/at night/on shore. One time when we went to Berumda you are not allowed shorts on the island, so you had to be careful what you wore. We are Disney nuts and when we go to the park, DH and I wearing matching Disney Shirts would that alright, or would we look out of place. I can't how, since this is a Disney cruise. I just need some pointers, if anyone is willing to help:chat: :chat:

You didn't say which cruise you were on, but since you mentioned the Bahamas, I'm going to assume it's a Wonder cruise.

During the day, shorts are fine on land and at sea. You'll see many many Disney shirts on DCL cruisers.

While you're at sea, you will probably spend a fair amount of time in your bathing suit, so I would take a cover up unless you're very comfortable in your suit.

The evening meals request no shorts or jeans. For ladies, nice capris, dress slacks, or a sundress are fine. Many people bring skorts (you might think of them as culottes?) and tops. For gentlemen on the shorter cruise, they tend to be khakis and polo shirts, with an occasional dress shirt and tie. Jackets are encouraged for men at Palo (the specialty restaurant), but aren't required. If you do go to Palo, keep in mind that it is the dressiest of the restaurants, so if you have one nice outfit, and two okay outfits, I'd wear the nice one to Palo.

Hope this helps!!

People dress in various stages of casual, semi-formal and formal, but here is what we do:

(1) On the cruise during the day -- shorts and t-shirts and sandals; bathing suit and shorts to and from the pool

(2) On land: shorts and t-shirts or camp shirts, or capris and t-shirts or camp shirts

(3) Casual dinners:
-- husband in docker-type pants and a polo shirt
-- me in capri pants and polo shirt or skirt and polo shirt
-- kids in casual dresses or cute little outfits (they're little girls, so they're always cute!)

(4) Semi-formal dinners:
-- husband in khakis and dress shirt with tie
-- me in a floral dress or dress pants and a jacket
-- kids in jumpers or dresses

(5) Formal nights:
-- husband in suit and tie or kakhis, jacket and tie
-- me in black cocktail dress
-- kids in dressier dresses

When we've cruised RC, my husband wore a tux on formal nights, but we don't do that anymore.
