hey all you winter vets! What the heck to do wear when the temp swings 20+ degrees each day? 59 is too cold for shorts, but 79 is too hot for pants, isnt it? What works for you?

Layer your clothes. That way, as it warms up, you will be comfortable. When we go next week, I will probably wear capris, shorts or pants with a t-shirt and a sweatshirt or sweater.

I live about 45 minutes from WDW, and there are many days in the winter months where it will be in the 40-50's in the morning and warm up to the 70s-80s.

Hope that helps!

When the temps range from in the 50s in the early morning to the upper 70s in the middle of the day I usually wear shorts w/ a short sleeve shirt and either a light jacket or a long sleeve shirt over it. About 9:30-10:00 I usually take the outer shirt or jacket off and tie it around my waist or put it in my pack. Hope that helps!!!

We had these issues on a February trip. We dressed in layers like the other poster said. Lucky for me capri's are "IN" for ladies. I usually wore capri's a tank and cardigan. Then I could lose the sweater and I was fine for the afternoon.
As for DS and DH- they wore those cargo type pants that zip off w/ tee's and sweatshirts. Worked really well.

I like to bring a light jacket that I can tie around my waist when it gets warm in the afternoon. I know that I'm gonna be needing it when the sun sets!
Also, you can rent a locker to stash jackets or sweatshirts. :flower:

capris worked great for me every day but one. usually you know in the morning how cold it's supposed to be and then we dress accordingly. usually at the coldest, i wear capris, tee-shirt and sweatshirt for park opening and closing and take off the sweatshirt mid morning and store it in a locker till that evening. the lockers are fairly cheap i think and usually i would stick a camera or if i made any purchases in there also. i didn't think it was cold for that long in the am, once the sun was up i was fine and there aren't any lines to speak of in Jan so mostly you basically are only walking from one attraction to another outside. sometimes we left the sweatshirt in the room if we were going back before dinner. it's only when the sun isn't out, mostly at night for fireworks that we really needed an additional layer( except during a cold snap, i mean normally)

We went in late February and I wore a sweatshirt over a t-shirt in the morning with jeans and just took the sweatshirt off in the afternoon. I was always fine in my jeans.

I'm one of those people who gets cold easily (Hey! I'm a 14th generation native Californian - can ya' blame me?). So, unless the temp is going to hit near 80, I'm in jeans and a t-shirt or tank top. I always carry around a sweater with me. For me, I've found it VERY helpful to sometimes wear shorts and carry a pair of jeans in my back pack or store them in a locker.

I enjoy going back to the resort to rest during the day, so I usually change into something warmer there if I feel the need to.

Happy Touring!
