I just cannot seem to find a pair of pretty sandals that are also comfortable. I try them on in the store and they feel fine. It's not until I wear them for a couple of hours that they start to rub or pinch.

I am looking for a sandal that go with everything. Neutral like tan or a multicolored sandal.

What's your go to sandal that feels divine and looks great with a flirty dress?

I tried on a couple of pairs of J-41 sandals today at DSW. They have lots of different styles, some more casual than others.

They were super comfy in the store, but I couldn't get myself to pay the $70 price.

J-41s are super comfy. I've owned two pairs. If you broke them in a bit ahead of time, I doubt you'd have blisters to deal with.

Walking Cradles are very comfy and come in some really cute styles. They are kinda pricey, but I usually get several years out of them.

The only sandals I can wear in park is skecthers flip flops. Also wear lycra shorts under dresses if you have any thighs.:cool1:

I LOVE Merrell sandals. I have a black, brown, and white pair and my black pair (the oldest) is at least 7 years old. They are so comfy and worth every penny.

The brown Dahlia's are the most comfy of the three I have. They also come in black and white:

I live in Orthaheels. They sell them at QVC dot com. They are pricey but worth every penny in my book. They have lots of styles, but I enjoy the thong style myself., I recently wore them thru Disney and Epcot for full days without issues. Just love the way they fit, feel and look. :thumbsup2

For walking long hours be sure to get sandles with staps, not flip flop kind. The are better for you feet, legs and back. Merrell and Ecco make some really good ones. Now granted, they are not as cute as well, cute sandles. But they do have some that are not bad and boarder on cute.

I have these same sandals and love them! I've walked all over disney and universal and never had any problems with blisters or my feet hurting.

I like Clarks. They're super comfortable. I don't like a heel strap because that's where I always get blisters. And I prefer a bit of a heel.
These are the ones I'm bringing on our trip in July (I'm already working on breaking them in :thumbsup2):

I've got this pair in blue and beige. They've got tons of color options. It was all I could do not to buy them all. lol.

I know this may sound hard to believe but Walmart carries the most comfy and affordable sandles I have ever owned. I've had Clarks in the past- similar in style but not as comfortable as the Earth Spirit Brand I found at of all places Walmart.

I have very sensitive feet. I can only wear certain kinds of sandals/shoes or I will get shooting pains in the bottoms of my feet. Maybe from being a nurse for 15 years and on my feel all for so long. Not sure but I can't say enough good things about these sandals.

They come in few different syles and colors. Here is the one I went with this year.

They don't last as long as Clarks or more expensive brands- but I buy at least two of them every year when they come out- as I don't want to be without them when they stop selling them for the season;)

I love these. They go with dressy dresses, shorts, jeans you name it. These are my favorite pair, I have about 10 in different colors and styles. Amazingly comfortable!
They are recyclable and they are made in the USA!

I really like my croc sandals. I have to switch back to sneakers in the evenings but I can at least get a good 6-8 hours out of them. I have a black pair that are cute, go with everything and I get a ton of compliments on them!:thumbsup2

I have these! They are fantastic walking shoes

I love my Adrina Crocs. I have two styles that I wear everywhere and have been a godsend during my last few months of pregnancy. I have this style in black (they're more like a grey than black) and this style in pink. They are beyond comfy and i even wore them to Magic Kingdom one day and actually felt fine after 5 hours.

I also have this style called the carlie in black. They are not as comfy for all day wear but they're just as cute and like all crocs they do stretch a bit over time so they'll get more comfy. I cannot wear these now at the end of my pregnancy because my swollen feet don't fit in them comfortably.

i've tried many, MANY different brands of sandals and flip-flops, and the only ones i can wear for extended periods of walking are tevas (preferably with slight platform/heel).
we walk about 10 miles a day while at WDW, and only with tevas haven't experienced any blisters or pain (every pair of crocs i've owned, in all their varying forms, have caused blisters, foot and back pain after a few miles). i've found any sandals with back straps very uncomfortable.

btw, if you do find a pair of other sandals you like for the looks, but cause blisters or chaffing, put a small piece of moleskin on the inside of the offending area. it works wonders :)

Thank you everyone. I ended up getting some crocs to try out - a Leigh wedge in turquoise.
I definitely liked a lot of the links but then I would since I love shoes. I think I may ask for some of the others for my birthday and see what happens.

I also like the idea of shorts underneath.

I like Merrells best for my feet, but this year Teva and Naot have come out with some more feminine strappier-looking sport sandals that are very nice. (Tevas usually don't work for my feet because of the way that they are shaped; I was born with very prominent heel bones, and the Tevas tend to ride up and hit too high in the back; they rub right where my ankle flexes.)

I would recommend that if possible, you try to find a sandal that will tolerate immersion in water and dry off quickly. Non-leather Crocs will normally do this, but they tend to have notoriously slippery soles when wet.

Also, just FYI for those who need to use orthotics, many Aetrex and Bite sandals will accomodate them.

One more thought: it really doesn't matter if your sandals are a bit more clunky than normal -- the other guests at WDW are strangers to you, and your feet are unlikely to show up in many photos. Concentrate on comfort, or your photos WILL look awful, because the stress from the pain in your feet will show on your face.
