Dress/Tux Shipping and Press

Any thoughts on this? If we ship our dress and tux a week or so before ceremony (so that it arrives a week before is what I am saying), do these companies need someone to take it? We are arriving Friday am for a Saturday noon wedding and just unsure of how to go about this - we didnt want to take time to drive it out to them to do - would rather someone come to room and do it or have Disney do it. Any thoughts on this, how its worked for you, etc? Thanks for any help you can give - be blessed!

The one company that will accept shipped dresses, Carolyn Allen's, will deliver it to your resort for you if you pay them to steam it (in your room). Disney has no dress pressing/steaming services. One could send it out as dry cleaning, I suppose, but you won't have enough time—and it's not any cheaper.

I haven't heard of Carolyn Allen providing steaming of tuxes for people who have their own, since they actually rent tuxes. But if you're paying, they might do it just like they do with dresses. I'd definitely call and ask, though.

So Carolyn will let you ship to her then come to 2 your motel room and press it OR you can ship to Disney or bring yourself and then she will come to room and press???? How about the other companies...do they travel to your resort to press it?....or do you have to send to them? I'm confused...

Yes. Except there's no person there named Carolyn Allen anymore—that's just the name of the company.

How about the other companies...do they travel to your resort to press it?....or do you have to send to them? I'm confused...

The only other company that will come out to your room to steam the dress is Loftis Production Services.
