Dress @ Kona

We are going to Kona for dinner after our Animal Kingdom day. How dressy do we need to be? AK closes at 6 that evening and our res is for 6:55 (only time available). If we stayed til close there wouldn't be time to go to the hotel, so I'm debating this.

I totally agree. I tend to wear my better park attire when we are going to a nice TS for dinner, but that's just me.

Not True. Signature Restaurants have a "Business Casual" dress code. Disney requests that guests honor this. It is correct that when some choose to ignore this request they are seldom turned away. That doesn't change the fact that there is a dress code that you are informed of when you make your ADR.

Park Attire is perfectly appropriate for Kona.

Actually "park attire" (if by that you mean shorts, t-shirts and tennis shoes) meets the Signature restaurants dress code.
Kona has no published dress code so park attire is just fine there.

Whether or not you can wear "park attire" at a signature restaurant depends on what you're attired in when you go to the parks. You can wear khaki shorts and a polo shirt to both the parks and a signature restaurant, but if your customary park attire is a tank top and cut-offs, then no, you couldn't wear that to a signature restaurant.

However, Kona has no dress code at all, so wear whatever you want.

Thanks everyone! We've decided actually that night to do a photo session @ the Poly so we will be leaving AK early to get all pretty for the cameras! We're going to try to use a few shots for my DD's senior pictures.
