dress code for Yachtsman Steakhouse

I'm making my packing lists. We have dinner at Yachtsman one night. For DH and my 2 boys(6 and 9), will khaki shorts and a polo shirt be okay? Kids have sandals and DH would wear sneakers. Really don't want to pack pants and loafers if I can avoid it. I'm easy....sundress and sandals.

You will be fine. No need to pack pants for them.

Khaki shorts and polo is completely acceptable and you'll find more than what some wear.

Glad you asked this. We are going to Yachtsman on our Oct trip and it is the only day we aren't going to be able to go back to the room before dinner. I was planning to have DH wear khaki shorts for the day and carry a polo in the backpack for him to change into before dinner. I figured I would just wear a sundress as my park clothes that day so I didn't have to change.

A sundress works too.
Nowwww if I can only get my man to wear the sky blue driver's loafers all will be well in my life.

Totally acceptable! Somewhere I have a cut pic of my nephews as toddlers wearing khaki shorts and matching polos at YS! They are now both towering over me.

Its exactly what my DH/DS now aged 9 wear and I think it's perfect. Smart enough to feel you've dressed a bit for dinner but relaxed enough to be comfortable

Don't over think your wardrobe. As long as you look presentable, you will be fine. I've even worn t shirts to the Yatchsman and have never been denied entry.

I think the only restaurant on property where a dress code would be "enforced" would be Victoria and Alberts.... I've never dined there and probably never will. Just not my cup of tea for vacation.

V+A's dress code is different from the any of the other signature restaurants with a dress code.
The others basically call for resort casual. Victoria and Albert's require business casual at the least: ties are optional but jackets are not. No shorts, sneakers or flip flops.
We will be dining there on Christmas Day or maybe it's the Eve because we always dress for the holidays and it'll make it seem more like home.

YS has a reasonably casual dress code. Some people go looking quite dressed up, others go after a day in the parks without changing.

V&A is the only enforced dress code I've come across, and they're pretty strict. Incredible food though - it's a definite dining experience.

Oh, and the Porterhouse at YS is AMAZING.

The Yachtsman allows you to swap out sides so make sure somebody orders the truffle mac & cheese.
