Can anyone tell me the dress code for California Grill?? My DH is a T-shirt and jeans kind of guy so I was wondering if a polo shirt with nice pair of shorts would be okay...

You'll see people dressed in shorts and polos as well as in upscale resort wear (tommy bahama, etc.). While my hubby is a jeans and polo dude....I always ask him to wear khaki's and a polo and jacket at the CG....it just fits better! In the end, if he is comfortable that's what counts! As long as he isn't scruffy, etc. he'll fit in. I'd rather see a guy in shorts and a polo than a six year old in resort wear acting up!!!

A few weeks ago, there were a few people in jeans and jean shorts. Otherwise, people were in dress shorts or khakis, and a polo or button down shirt. I'd just stay away from the jeans. :)

I will just add my .02 and say this:

I may be a little bit old fashioned in some areas, but I believe shorts are unacceptable for dinner in a restaurant regardless if it's a theme park or not.

I personally would feel uncomfortable wearing shorts to CG, but that's just me.

Show up with cut-off jeans and those white tank tops that are supposed to be worn under clothing. Also, don't wear a bra!! Get pictures and post them for all of us to see. Finally, get pictures of the shocked reactions of the guests around you. :teeth:

I agree with Duke. I always bring some nice clothes and get dressed up in slacks and a polo shirt. After Cal Grill we always go to PI for some fun and dancing and we take lots of pictures so it's nice to get dressed up a little bit.

My dbf refuses to bring pants to wdw...especially since we are going in sept and it is hot. He's worn a nice pair of linen or khaki shorts and a polo style top and he's fit right in with everyone else.

We always wear nice walking shorts to the CG. That's how we'll be dressed when we eat there on our October trip.
No one has EVER paid the slightest attention to how we were dressed.

We are going in Sept. and I too had the same problem with my DH, he has dress shorts and polos and thats what I think he'll wear, he would wear casual pants if I wanted but if he won't be comfortable why make him, The dress shorts are just as fancy I think.
