Hi,
I just made ADR's for Jiko in March and was told that there is a dress code now of business casual. This is fine for us, but I am curious if everyone who goes abides by this dress code? I have never been to a Disney restaurant where there were not people in shorts and "park clothes"...am wondering if the dress code is enforced.

We ate there last May and my DH wore polo and nice shorts, I wore and nice but simple pants outfit. My two sons just wore shorts and cute polo type shirts. We also saw people in there dressed up and even a few in jeans. So I wouldn't worry too much about it! :thumbsup2

Thanks so much. This will be the first time we have been to Jiko and we are so looking forward to it!

This is one of my pet peeves. Yeah, its a pretty small thing. And don't think the following is flame against you - its actually directed at WDW.

If there is an established dress code, then it should be enforced uniformly. If you allow in those that don't meet the code, then others will see that and decide that the code doesn't apply to them. IMHO, either establish and stick with a dress code or do away with it.

JIko is our favorite restaurant. I wore a jean skirt and nice shirt last time we were there and DH wore a nice pair of shirts and a polo shirt.

Disney's recommendations for 'business casual' is, in the words of Capt. Barbosa, more guidelines than actual rules - Thus their lack of enforcement ... Wear clean and presentable clothes and you'll be fine.

THat's pretty much the size of it--most recent dining reports from Jiko suggest no enforcement. And what with "dress shorts" and jeans being just fine, the code itself is pretty relaxed.

We love JIKO. Last time we were was this past July. It's definately not a "dressy" place. As long as you don't show up in flip flops and a tank top you should be fine. The food is outstanding!
