Dreams Unlimitied vs. Small World Vacations for Cdns

How in a public message board about Disney can you be given an infraction for voicing your opinion about a service you used or are inquiring about??

Is Dreams Unlimited not up to the challenge of open discussion of their service?

I read the page refered to and can not see how any infractions took place.

I contacted both D.U and Fairytale vacations ,,in Aug 07 --never heard back from DU but did from Fairytale vacations.

It disturbs me that is happening .

The message board is owned and run by DU. We have to respect that they don't want competition encouraged. The enforcement is hit-or-miss, and the e-mails in question were deleted by DU - a competitor's name was caught in the "filter" and I received demerit points for that. I'm still on probabation for a few more weeks so it worries me that this thread has reappeared. Let's just leave it as there are a lot of good TAs out there, and everyone should be able to enjoy Disney regardless of their method of getting there. :flower3:

This isn't quite right. Werner Technologies, Inc. owns Disboards, wdwinfo and DU. Similar effect but a different structure. I'm paraphrasing some comments I've read elsewhere but it is not that they don't want competition, it's that they don't want someone making money off of the boards. You are not allowed in any way to solicit business on the boards for anything unless you are an approved advertiser. There is a word filter that catches a large number of things and they all have a history behind them. Typically it is an well meaning attempt to circumvent the filter that earns a person demerit points.

I just wanted to add that if you have a reservation with CAA it can be changed under the same rules that disney has for all of its reservations--the difference is it has to be the agency changing it.
